Americh's New Drop-in Drain Kit for Free-Standing Tubs

Americh recently introduced a new drop-in drain installation kit for free-standing tubs.  This kit, which can be used for all free-standing bathtub installations, requires no access panel and can be used wherever access is an issue.  Other benefits and advantages of using the new drop-in drain kits are:

Top Knobs' a Winner of 2018 KB&B Readers' Choice Awards

For the sixth consecutive year, Top Knobs has been named a winner of the Kitchen and Bath Business Magazine Readers' Choice Awards. More than 20,000 votes were cast online by KBB readers, who selected their favorite brands and manufacturers in 25 categories. Top Knobs has come out on top in two categories, Bath Accessories and Decorative Hardware. Voters were asked to select their choices based on specific criteria in each category. In the Bath Accessories category, voters assessed overall design, while in the Decorative Hardware category, voters focused on aesthetics and style. Both categories also put emphasis on the ability for products to coordinate with kitchen and bath fixtures. Scott Burns Completes His First Full Length Triathlon

Scott Burns of Upscale Sales, a DPHA member and independent representative in Florida, recently completed the Loggerhead Triathlon in Jupiter FL. About a year ago, Scott set a rather lofty goal of participating in a Triathlon. On August 4th of this year, he completed his second (and first full length) triathlon. The first one (the Turtle Man Triathlon on June 30th, 2018) was an abbreviated length to see if he was ready for the full length one. Yes, the local theme in his neck of the woods is "turtle." There is a plethora of turtle nests on the local beaches and the turtles garner much deserved attention.

Victoria + Albert's New Metallo 61 and Metallo 113 Quartz Washstands

Victoria + Albert expanded its Washstand Collection, with the introduction of the Metallo 61 and Metallo 113 (pictured) Quartz Washstands. The Quartz Washstands, designed by Italian design duo Meneghello Paolelli Associati, are made in a brass construction with a polished chrome finish, topped with a choice of three durable quartz finishes with undermounted basins. The Metallo Quartz Washstands are characterized by the shape of the legs, which feature right angle "tee joints" that reference traditional bathroom pipework. The Metallo 61 Quartz is the most compact washstand in the collection at 24"wide, making it the perfect choice for smaller bathrooms and powder rooms. Oliver Bahr Named President of Hansgrohe USA

Hansgrohe, Inc. announced it has appointed Oliver Bahr as President/GM, effective July 23. Formerly a President at Franke Kitchen Systems North America, Bahr comes with the unique advantage of a dual citizenship (USA and Germany) and a documented history of tremendous success in product and brand development, performance culture, and collaborative e-commerce strategies. Bahr has a long history of exemplary achievement in sales and marketing, including successful establishment of operational footprint and performance optimizations. His diverse range of international expertise and his multicultural background will be a considerable asset in his new role at Hansgrohe as he looks to build on the company's success in 2018. A talented team of over 250 employees and a world-class manufacturing facility in Alpharetta, GA will also fall under Bahr's supervision. Before joining the plumbing sector, Bahr held several key positions with the Robert Bosch Tool Corporation from 2006-2013 after working with the Stanley Black & Decker Corporation.

Hans Juergen Kalmbach Named Hansgrohe's New Chairman of the Executive Board

Hans Juergen Kalmbach (pictured) is the new Chairman of the Executive Board of the Hansgrohe Group; Reinhard Mayer has been appointed Deputy Chairman. Kalmbach succeeds Thorsten Klapproth, who, after four years of successful business expansion, will turn over his position as CEO. Hans Juergen Kalmbach is a Black Forest native, born in 1974 in the city of Freudenstadt, close to the Hansgrohe Group Headquarters in Schiltach, Germany. He is currently an Executive Board Member, responsible for international sales. After starting his career within the Hansgrohe Group in 1998, Hans Juergen Kalmbach held various leadership positions in Germany and abroad. From 2010 to 2014, he was responsible for the international business of the Delta Faucet Company. He then returned to the Hansgrohe Group headquarters in Germany and assumed responsibility for the Sales Divisions Northern and Western Europe. In addition, he also led the Corporate Business Development. He took over the Sales Division Asia Pacific in 2015 and the Global Projects Division. Kalmbach holds a degree in Business Administration. Next to Kalmbach, the Executive Board of the Hansgrohe Group continues to consist of Christophe Gourlan, Frank Schnatz, Frank Semling and Reinhard Mayer. Mayer will take on additional responsibilities as of August 1, 2018 in his new role as Deputy Chairman of the Executive Board.
