HANSGROHE'S Design Prize 2017 by iF

Design students and young graduates from all fields of design are invited to submit future-oriented solutions that redefine the use of water in the kitchen to win the HANSGROHE DESIGN PRIZE 2017 by iF. The renowned competition for young designers initiated by Hansgrohe SE and organized by iF is being held for the seventh time this year. Design students and young graduates from all fields of design are invited to submit future-oriented ideas and solutions that redefine the use of water in the kitchen. The most innovative concepts will be rewarded with prize money totaling EUR 5,000. Entries will be accepted up until January 13, 2017. Victoria + Albert Unveils Their Kit 40 IntelliWaste System

Victoria + Albert unveiled its Kit 40 Intelli Waste system that uses advanced magnetic technology to provide reliable flood protection for both home and hospitality settings. With its sleek and unobtrusive design, the Kit 40 is perfect for freestanding tubs. It works just like a standard "click clack" drain, but the ingenious concealed system uses water pressure to sense rising water levels. When the depth reaches 15", the patented technology triggers the plug to open, allowing water to escape and avoiding a flood. Once the faucet has been safely turned off, the water depth continues to drain to 11" and then automatically reseals, allowing the bather to enjoy a deep and luxurious soak. Thermasol Announces Two Organization Position Shifts

ThermaSol® announced two major position shifts in its organization. Martin Siwy (pictured on left), current Vice President of Sales and Marketing will now take on the role of Vice President of Marketing, freeing him up from sales to focus more intently on longer range marketing initiatives. Martin will utilize his wide-ranging experience and creative perspective to identify and develop new business opportunities and explore unconventional marketing projects and programs as well as playing an important role in the development and introduction of new products.

Ryan Paul (pictured on right) was promoted to Vice President of Sales. In this position, Paul will establish and execute annual sales strategy for ThermaSol's U.S. residential market, manage the sales team's shared goals and maintain a line of communication with sales agencies and showroom professionals. Ryan Paul joined the ThermaSol sales team three years ago, and will incorporate his more than 20 years of sales and management experience in the kitchen and bath industry into his new role. He will work with the sales team to create effective presentations, programs and promotions as well as offering engaging brand and product trainings that support ThermaSol's showroom partners.

Watermark Designs Wins Interior Designs 2016 Best of Year Award

Watermark Designs won Interior Design magazine's 2016 "Best of Year" Award. This year, the Best of Year Awards celebrated its 11th Anniversary and had 2,016 entries, from 38 different countries, in 130 product and project categories, and Watermark Designs' Elan Vital Kitchen Faucet with telescopic spout was named the winner in the Kitchen Fittings category. Watermark's Elan Vital Kitchen Faucet is so innovative it in fact received a patent for the telescopic spout. The entire Elan Vital collection combines the utilitarian aesthetic of industrial design with the ability to completely customize faucets. Reminiscent of industrial steam pipes, the Elan Vital Telescopic Kitchen Faucet's spout extends or retracts as needed. The deck mounted lever controls volume and temperature using a hydro-progressive valve. The brass wire basket is optional, as is an independent side spray.
