Native Trails' Santorini Copper Freestanding Tub Winner of 2018 Green GOOD Design Award
Native Trails'™ Santorini copper freestanding bathtub
is a winner of the 2018 Green GOOD DESIGN Award, honoring the best in
modern green design. Artisan-crafted and forged of high-quality recycled
copper, the Santorini soaker tub tells the story of generations of
Mexican artisanship. Through thousands of hammer strikes, and over the
course of several weeks, the work of Native Trails' master coppersmiths
reflects centuries of craft techniques that have been passed down and
continually refined. This is the fifth year the company has been
selected as a winner in the annual competition, which is sponsored by
the European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies and
The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design. This year
hundreds of entries poured in from two-dozen countries around the globe
before the Green GOOD DESIGN Award jury identified the world's most
significant examples of sustainable modern design.
