For an architect or an interior designer, being named to the annual AD100 list is akin to an actor winning an Academy Award. It’s a big deal. To celebrate 2019's newest crop of inspiring honorees, Architectural Digest editor-in-chief Amy Astley and Brizo (Jai Robinson of Brizo is second from the left) hosted a joint dinner party in late April at The Terrace Gardens West restaurant in Ian Schrager's newly-opened Times Square EDITION hotel. AD editors and the who’s who of the design world sipped cocktails and enjoyed a seated dinner under a fern-clad canopy strewn with hanging topiaries and palm fronds all around. Bunches of tulips and greenery, designed by florist Emily Thompson, lined tables, which glowed from the light of tiny votives creating a verdant oasis that felt far away from the frenetic heart of Midtown Manhattan.
