LAUFEN is proud of their involvement in P-BANK, an interactive platform that raises awareness of the misdirection of valuable nutrients - one of them being phosphorus (P) - to wastewater, causing great harm to coastal waters. Spearheaded by the Urban Water Management and Sanitation department of the Bauhaus Universitat Weimar and featuring Laufen's urine diversion toilet save, P-BANK demonstrates an effective closed-loop recycling of the wastewater that recovers the valuable nutrients and re-introduces them into nature in the form of fertilizer. The P-BANK is installed on the premises of the Bauhaus-University Weimar until 16th August, 2019.
